In 2024, the logistics company Karl Michels welcomes four new apprentices. They are starting their careers in the professions of Professional Truck Driver (m/f/d) and Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk (m/f/d).

The three-year training program for professional truck drivers includes practical work in the company’s vehicle workshop, obtaining a truck driver’s license, and gaining real-world driving experience. After a year in the workshop and driver’s school, the apprentices take over their own routes independently in the third year.

The apprenticeship for freight forwarding and logistics services clerks also lasts three years. The first year focuses on administrative tasks and invoicing, followed by operational areas such as scheduling and warehouse management. Over time, the apprentices gradually take on more responsibility.
